Love these shoes. The purchase experience (from website, email communication to shipping) was all perfectly seamless. The shoes are a perfect fit and adorable. Our son loves the Mr. Barkles design. Also, so many compliments from others. Definitely will make more purchases in the future.
The Captain Zuga shoes won't fit our girl for another year or so. HOWEVER, she had the piggie shoes at size 3, the owls at size 4 (she has been wearing them for a few months and because they are so roomy, they are still fitting her!), the unicorns up next at size 5 and the Zugas were only available at a size 7... so we'll be waiting on these for a while. Ikiki shoes are the easiest to put on and she's quite happy wearing them. Our daughter is VERY busy and a complete daredevil, so the squeak function is a huge help when we take her to any playground (or public area). We have both a visual and an audio way of tracking her - haha. These shoes never fail to garner a ton of compliments from the other playground parents. We LOVE the Ikiki brand. They are adorable, durable, comfortable and practical. What else do parents need or want in a shoe for their little one? The Captain Zugas will be extra great because they will match with anything and be perfectly representative of her "don't mess with me" attitude. :)
I love these shoes. We tried numerous shoes for my 12 month old and these were the only ones that provide support for his ankles and wobbly stance AND also didn't cause blisters. Bonus is they are sooooooo cute. I get compliments on them everywhere we go and love the squeaker for keeping up with my son and teaching him to walk.
Just received the pair for my baby. Thus they are too big but the rep sent me smaller and was very good with this.
Customer service - great!
As for shoes - I love them! They look so cute, great materils and lool super comfy. Hope my baby will love them too. Happy to have found them!
The shoes are wide enough to put a wiggly toddler's foot into easily.

No, we don't sell our shoes through normal stores. Doing so would mean we would have to either:
- 1. Charge more.
- 2. Not use such premium materials.
Our shoes run pretty true-to-size but it's always a good idea to check out our sizing guide.
The squeaker in the sole of your kid's shoes can become damaged in sand, water, or mud. If you want the squeaker to keep working (and we know at least your kids do) we recommend not getting them wet or sandy.
Yes! We have many customers that use orthotics, we typically suggest buying 2 sizes larger than your child's un-braced foot size in order to fit the braces. For more info see our "ikiki™ Mobility" page.
Standard free shipping (US only) takes about 3-5 business days. If you're eager to get squeaking, faster shipping options are available at checkout.
Usually this is caused by one of three things:
The squeaker is turned off
If you can see red on the squeaker then slide the switch to the other side. (You might be reaching to slide it back to the off position soon).
Your child isn't quite 20 lbs.
This usually only happens in the smallest sizes (3, 4 and sometimes 5). To test it squeeze the heel with your hand - if you hear a squeak then rest assure that as your child grows the squeaks will get louder and louder.
The squeaker needs to be primed
Sometimes the squeakers need to be broken in to get the air circulating inside. Squeeze the squeaker by hand ten times and see if it starts squeaking.
If none of these resolves it please send us a message and let us make it right! While it isn't common sometimes the squeaker itself is defective.
It's better not to submerge the shoe - sometimes water can damage the reed which can keep them from squeaking. (And if that sounds good to you we recommend familiarizing yourself with how the "off switch" works).
To spot clean:
- Mix a small amount of hand or dish soap with warm water.
Apply with a small cloth or sponge.
If you have deep stains an old toothbrush can do wonders. (We strongly recommend retiring it after this mission).
Rinse with fresh, warm water.
You want to completely remove the soap. Repeat as needed.
- Let the shoes dry before your next adventure.
We have a great article to explain it!
